Write him a note. That way you can't back out of it at the last minute. What's that? You know, write it down on a piece of paper and give it to him.

i agree with Echo. Is he single? Do you know if he likes you? I think a direct approach would be the best thing to consider. If you don't like the direct approach, the best way for a guy to get think hint is by teasing and flirting... but that is probably common sense.

i would just want to be told straight out. if the girl takes to long i would probably never see her as more than a friend....dont be scared. Trust me if he doesnt feel the same way about you there is plenty of more guys out there.

If you like a guy, tell him straight up, and then ask him out if he shows a positive reaction. A lot of guys won't tell if they a girl if they feel it would offend them, or make it otherwise uncomfortable.

i had to read this nd give my opinion...if ur really interested then tell him, but dont come on to strong... actually tell him "i liked u before, can u believe that???" say "what if i still liked u would u go out w/ me???" say it sarcastically... so in the end u won't get as hurt as u would before

you are going to have to draw him into an intimate relationship with you. get him to ask you out on a date, and go from there. say things like;
have you tried that deli at 5th and main?
i wish i had something to do this weekend.
i wish i had the time to check out that new comedy at the fox theater.
if he is interested, then he will ask you out. if not then he wont.

I like when women do the whole "wayne's world" not worthy bow. Then ask me out.
In general, if they are willing to drop their guard then it shows me they really like me. When they act all guarded and expect me to make a move, then it's unattractive.

When we are talking alone just switch on the love subject and after a while say it to him. Or you can use the direct way. Your choice.
