Is it time to give up on her??

I've liked this girl for a long time and there's just no way she doesn't know.

Anyway, she called me and asked me for advice with her "friend's" personals ad. She wouldn't tell me which friend it was for or let me see it.

She also recently said that she could date now because it's not against her religion anymore.

I've been waiting for this girl to come around for a long time. I thought it was the religion thing getting in my way, but now I'm starting to wonder.

She also asked for my help with one of her classes, and likes to come to me for advice. I thought that was a good thing until now.

Time to give up??

Why don't you just ask her out? If she says no, then give up. Be up front and honest. Say, "I like you a lot and I'd like to take you out. Do you want to go?" Then you'll know. Stop guess; start asking and then you won't wonder anymore. If she says, no, then you'll know and you can move on to meeting someone who thinks the world of you and who would say yes to a date in a heartbeat! Good luck.

It sounds to me like she likes you but is too shy to make a move. It also sounds like shes trying to prompt you to make a move. Ask her out and if she says no give up and move on.

1st get aggressive and take a big risk.
ask her to the ballet or a basketball game.
tell her - not as friends, as a trial date.
if she says no, then give up

You haven't mentioned if you have asked her out. If you like her ask her out. If she says yes, she likes you too. If she says no, then move on.
