Here's why.

Jesus merely "died" for my sins. Whoopdie doo! Ok so he died for a few days, after being tortured for a few more, and now everything's peaches -- he's drinking holy pina coladas floating around on clouds.

What about me? I'll have to spend eternity in Hell for my sins (such as lack of faith). Jesus suffering for me? Bull, my suffering would be infinite compared to his dying for a measly couple of days. It's no comparison. Jesus has no business thinking "his suffering" means a thing compared to all the undeserving hordes being endlessly tortured by Satan.

You seem to have forgotten the part where He then rose from the dead. A person would have to be severely jaded not to find that impressive.

There are no longer any flaws interior the Jesus tale; you merely have not got the potential to understand. Christianity makes a huge deal approximately Jesus simply by fact this is all approximately Jesus. he's no longer in common terms a son of God, he's God. The actual guy or woman born at Bethlehem to Mary is the Son, yet Jesus isn't in common terms a actual guy or woman. It does not count number if that doesn't make experience to you. The resurrection of Jesus grew to become into mandatory so we are in a position to have a wish of resurrection. The early Christians have been replaced as quickly as they observed the resurrected Jesus; till now that, they have been cowards. without the resurrection of Jesus, Christianity does no longer have survived the 1st century.

what about the sins of today? who's going to die for those? also ..... if jesus died for all sins of the past, present and future, wasn't it a raw deal? I mean here we are and we're still sinning, so it was kinda all for nothing..

oh no no no wait wait
I can always repent... but then... why couldn't god just carve 'repent and be forgiven' into some rock, why torture jesus? I know why? because he needed a 'lamb of god' , which means God needed to punish someone, which is a uniquely human trait, I would never think a god would think like that.

and if hell exists you're right, jesus thinks HE had it bad? he only spent 3 days in hell, try being in that ***** for all eternity

You are so right. Though Jesus suffered for but a time, because of the evilness in your heart, because of your unforgiven sin, if you die in sin, you will be tormented for all eternity.

So grow up. Smell the coffee. And beware of heckling that which was the greatest act of mercy known to man.

And know this, that when Jesus was on the cross, he became the sin of all mankind. His pain was very intense and I garantee you you could not have done what he did.

The one thing that will torment you more then anything in hell will be remembering all the missed chances you had to accept Jesus as your Lord, but your love of sin prevented you.

You've done well GoatBoy, you've just discovered one of the flaws in the belief of eternal torment of the wicked. It's a pagan belief that has permeated the church and yet has no real basis in scripture. A couple of twisted texts and a parable is all there is in comparison to literally hundreds of texts which say that the wages of sin is death, plain and simple. The very same price that Jesus paid for your sins.

well ya you may think it is not a big deal but would you have died for someone? And if you would you probably wouldn't have roase the 3rd day. And one more thing you don't have to spend eternity in hell you have a choise and it seems like you chose that choise so stop winning that Jesus is in Haven right now floating around on clouds.

Wow. When you find out there really is a God, I hope he has mercy on you. Even if you don't believe in the religion that accompanies the story of Jesus - the truth is that he was a real man and that he really did go through what he went through. Whether his beliefs were "real" or not, he thought that he was doing what he was doing to save the ungrateful like yourself. Religion aside - where is your human compassion?

But you're not going to suffer to save anybody, like He did. That's the difference. As Jesus said, the greatest love is when a man gives His life for another.

It looks like you'll spend forever in hell or the lake of fire thinking about that.

You see Jesus is God and He didn't even have to be born.

He was born just so that He could die for your sins and mine.

I'm sorry if no one every tried explaining that to you before.

However, its all in the Bible.

Wow. I'd love to see you spend your life for the good of other people, half of whom don't even appreciate you, and then be tortured and give up your life for them- all of them- to give them a reward that they don't deserve. I would find that extremely impressive.
