I've read some crazy awesome reviews Ravving about this stuff. Some people dilute it down with water- a 1:1 ratio and some use a strong mixture of green tea instead of the water. It seems to dig up all the dirt and grim that your face holds and keep it acne free. (You break out slightly the first week or two (since your face is surfacing all the crud). And then- people say they get compliments on "glowing" skin after using it for a while. I just wanna know what the BEST way to go about using Apple Cider Vinegar. And if this is at all damaging in the long term.- Any comments/help is welcome.

I doubt that apple cider vinegar is "harmful" although I would probably dilute it a bit with water... I think when taking care of your skin you have to do it right... That means washing your face 2x a day with a mild acne cleanser, using a gentle toner.. I like witch hazel it's a natural astrigent but, I imagine that apple cider vinegar will work just the same ! Also, exfoliating is a great idea to slough off dead skin cells.. I have sensitive skin so I use baking soda mixed with my facial cleaner saving me a skin care step.. baking soda is cheap and easy to find anywhere ! So, I would try it along with washing your face regularly and using a toner... good luck

I have done that , vinegar burns. I am 28 never ever had a bad complextion until the last few years. I do know that when I go to the beach, my face clears up from the salt water. Try using a exfoliant, 3-4 days a week. Then maybe try to make salt water and put it on your face for a couple days. I know that pimples are made, where you have excess oils. Some parts of your face are oily then others, that's where you are probably getting those pimples. Because you say that lotion is a must for your face, put lotion only on the dry spots which should be free of pimples cause of lack of oils. If you are putting lotion where you have pimples, it is stopping your pimple treatments from working because lotion on top of pimples create more pimples. Home remedies, Like Toothpaste on bug bites remove the sting, always works the best. They are what usually what works because they don't have the chemicals that all of these new products are made with! My advise to you is to not use vinegar, only because if you have a cut, a open sore or pimple. The sting will not be a good as your results. Try to dry out the acne areas. Also wash your face with HOT water not cold. Hot water opens your pores for a better clean, while COLD water closes your pores and don't get cleaned as well. Also rubbing alcohol works, but really dries your face and may cause excessive dryness(flaky, itchy, skin). Your face needs moisture!

Apple cider vinegar works like magic! If you have normal to dry skin dilute the ACV 1/2 and 1/2 with distiled water and use like a toner BEFORE you wash your face. If you have skin that is on the oily side, use undiluted like a toner AFTER you wash your face. It is not damaging to the skin in anyway (make sure you use the raw unfiltered kind that is cloudy) and it actually fades acne scars and red spots with continued use. Plus it's all natural, what could be better than that?

Apple cider vinegar makes a great astringent for your face. It's good for oily skin and helps clear up acne. Cider vinegar promotes circulation to the small capillaries to irrigate the skin, it's an antiseptic for bacteria and pH balances the skin. Dilute it half and half with water. It's not damaging long term and will not dry out your skin. You can freeze it in ice cube trays and use it as a cooling facial treatment on hot days (and it will remove sweat and oils from your skin). It's also great for your hair. When you rinse your hair add 1 tablespoon to your rinse water. It will condition your hair and make it really shiny. Hope this helps.

TRUE. Have you heard of the clogged drain cleaner DRAIN-O. Well, apple cider is the same exact thing! It drains out all the toxins in your body. BUT, after drinking apple cider vinegar, you have to wait 20 minutes AND then drink water over it because if you only drink apple cider vinegar on it's own, it'll harm your liver. Trust me on this one. It tastes HORRIBLE but, it's very good for you. Don't buy the non-organic ones. Look under the bottle and see if you can see little red particles in it.

apple cider vinegar is really good for your face it wont damage your skin at all. i have been cleaning my face with it for about 2 years now and i just put the straight apple cider vinegar on my face. it might tingle a little when you put it on your face but that is just it soaking in your skin and getting all the crap out of it. if the tingling bothers you a lot then dilute it.
hope i helped!

oh and it gets the dead skin off your face so if it starts to peal a little thats what it is doing

Right now my skin is perfectly clear, for the first time in 3 years. It's been about 9 weeks and all my acne is gone. It is such a great feeling to wake up with clear skin.
