Search the bible for examples of such. What are you voting on? Too often people use their "feel"ings to guide them religiously. The problem is that feelings change, but the Word of God is everlasting. If it is a vote to follow the word of God or make new rules, I would vote for the former. If it were a vote to see what color to paint the bathroom I would choose green. If it were a vote that had anything to do with leading then I would see from scripture that men are to lead and would not fellowship with men that did not take my opinion and or best interests in mind. I am not saying that women should vote, but that the hard task of leading is left to the men of God. If you try to talk to these leaders and they blow you off, then they are not qualifed leaders for an elder must be humble and not rule as lords over the flock.

In the Mormon church members sustain (meaning we support), we don't vote (as in if there aren't enough votes for a person then the person isn't whatever they're hoping to be). It's the closest thing we have to voting. But I'm happy to sustain the leaders of the church.
If I'm not mistaken, Baptist's vote. There may be others who do as well, but I'm not sure. Which church are you talking about, specifically?

1. The 'church' is not mine (psat, present,or future); it is Christ's.
2. Are women equals of men (Mark 3:31-35) or subordinates? Yes, Christ did 'settle the issue of giving headship to the man (Gen.3).

They should be free to participate in all aspects of church - life except perhaps the men's meetings or biblestudies.
What's the vote about?

If you are in the unfortunate position of being in a religion that forces women to be submissive, you are setting yourself up for a lot of abuse.
The fact that you even have to ask should tell you something about mainstream religion.

Women were meant to play the submissive part while men are to be the leaders.
