It's pretty funny how when christans don't know what to say to these questions and then start believing in genetic codes and everything. It just makes me laugh.

Why do people keep asking this question?
Adam and Eve were created by God, and their children had to marry each other to start up the human race.
Today incest is a problem but it wasn't back then.
Adam and Eve lived over 900 years and during that time they had hundreds of children.
The Bible does not tell us exacly how many.
The Bible only names three sons, and does not name any daughters.
I urge you guys to read the first five chapters of Genesis for yourself. That will answer many of your questions.
Specifically, Genesis 3:20
20 Adam named his wife Eve, because she would become the mother of all the living.

The Adam and Eve story is symbolic. Neither of them actually existed. The story is meant to illustrate the intelligent design intended by God for the evolution of the universe. Yes, we evolved, form one celled organisms to what we are today, like every other creature on earth. What did God create? The beginning, the first thing, whatever it was with the intention of an evolution over infinite time, much more fantastic than simply creating everything at once and putting it on Earth.... A silly belief, really.

Perhaps like one of the answers suggested, we need to go back and reread Genesis.
Has every one over looked the fact that "Eve" was made from a rib of "Adam". Dose this not suggest, that the finished creation called "Eve" was really also Adam?
Perhaps "Eve" was another side of the personality, we refer to as being "Adam". This might very well make the question of incest take on another aspect for thought???

God created man and then created Adam and Eve.
How else could Cain be banished to a land where there were already people?
Adam and Eve were just the "Chosen" and as such were above the rest of humanity.
Could possibly explain the Neanderthal. Maybe they were the people he was banished to live with.

Adam and Eve's children married each other.
Adam and Eve had perfect genes so there was no risk of genetic diseases. The command not to marry a close relative came a few thousand years later.
Adam and Eve were certainly the first. Eve is the 'mother of all living'
There;s a good article here.

The first part of the Gensis, up to Abraham, was mostly allegory. It's about how the relationship between God and Man began. Adam was the first to have some sort of relationship with God. Before God, men were decendant from the monkeys.

Yes, it is.
The explanation is this: as the thousands of years passed by, we've become more and more warped by sin - our world, our animals, our plants and even our genes. People who once lived hundreds of years now could only live decades. And diseases that did not exist are now in our genetic codes. That includes genetic disorders that are more common when incest happens.
It was until the time of Abraham, when diseases had many years to spread and become ingrained in us, that incest became a part of the law.
Yes, Cain married one of his sisters. Creepy to us now, but not at the time.

Not necessarily. The Bible says that Adam and Eve were just the first not the ONLY.
