... you were dating a girl who you were really falling for, for just over a month, then she reveals she's not a waitress as she's always claimed to be... and that she's a lap dancer?

What would be your honest reaction?

No jokey comments please.

the only thing i would be mad about is that ya werent honest with me in the first place ..... then after that it would just be the desicion if this is the type woman you want to be with
not meaning i degrade someone who does this for a living as i personally dont have a problem with it as i have dated a stripper for a long time before i was married .......but some men would not be into it an d have to ask them selves that question .....:)

It Would Not Make A Difference To Me. It's Who The Person Is Not Their Job Is. I Can Understand Why This Person Lied About Their Job. I Would Probably Feel A Bit Insecure To Begin With But Time You Start To Trust Someone.

OK well my deal with lap dancing and striping are as follows-

I can respect that people that do that kind of stuff need the money and a job but personally I wouldn't want to share my girl with anyone else (not in that way) call me jealous but that's just me..

and I don't find lap dancing and striping very... well uh.. I find it kind of degrading... I would just prefer that the girl I was dating didn't do it...

and I might be a little upset that you lied to me but the point if you came clean so it's not a huge deal...but I would definitely be disappointed that you lied in the first place.

Disappointed.

I'm of the opinion that lap dancing is very 'tacky' ~ whilst aware that my other opinions are based on my prejudices from media fed information. To the best of my knowledge, I've never met a lap dancer ~ and have no desires to.

Sash.

Difficult to answer.
If it were me, it would hurt me a lot. But then, i would talk to her and have a long conversation.
That conversation will make it or break it...
I'm willing to listen to her story - the truth and then think over it for a couple of days...
If I still feel the same about her, then I'll be with her.
During that time, i would not let hate enter my heart, as I would be deciding whether I am still able to love her or feel the love still... Love happens and I leave the rest in my faith.

possibly lying about it would be the worst thing relationships are built on trust. it's always better to start with the truth it's a bridge thats gotta be crossed and it's better done at the start.
As for the lap-dancing thing, it's just a case of how he feels about it whether he is comfortable with it. I know it's up to the girl (you?) to decide for herself if she is comfortable doing what she does, but some guys would be happy picturing their gf in that situation, some would hate it & it would cause too many problems. it's who you are tho so maybe you are worth it

Caught between jealous and proud.
Jealous becuse the thought of other men seeing her naked really doesnt sit well and proud because i would be the one who got to go home with her and the lap dancer is up with the other fantasy girlfriends.

However the lying is another matter........

I know I'm a girl, but if it was the reverse - a boyfriend had lied about what he was doing for a job (in a way similar to your example) - I'd be disappointed. Should have admitted to it in the first place so the partner can form a true opinion of the person. How is a relationship supposed to last when it starts with lies? Sorry if this example is about you, but that's just my opinion.

I would question her on the fact of why she lied to me instead of just being herself and telling me the truth. But I wouldn't just stop talking to her. If I was really that interested in her, I would still accept the fact and hope she would be honest in the future. It's just a job.

my reaction would be the same to anyone who lies to me. what she does for a living is irrelevent, lies is never a good foundation in any relationship. i would walk , not from a lap dancer, but from a liar.
