I am of the opinion that it is impossible for man to either prove or disprove the existence of God. Only God, Himself can prove that He exists. For us, it is an act of faith whether we believe He does or not. And according to Him, this faith is the key that opens our eyes to His existence. Because of this, it seems to me that if you have faith that God exists, then He will show you the proof that He does, and if you lack the faith that He exists, then He will not show Himself to you. He is there waiting for you, if you believe He is.

Listen, I Can PROVE That GOD Exists.
To Prove He Doesn't Won't Take No More Than an Atheist Course at University. In One Semester College Students Can Be Convinced Quickly Because They Are in Social Groups, Fraternities, Seniorities, Peer Pressure, Like Minded Professions, They Are Absent From Religious Family, Etc.
Now That Might Only Take A Couple Years In College To Achieve. The Darwin Theories & Ideologies That Suggested This To Them, Doesn't Have as Good A Foundation For Truth In Keeping Them Believing This As The Long Term Field Observation That Can Be Explored By Anyone Both Taking Christian* Classes and Being Around Godly People. When You Deal With People Who Are Atheist's And Ask Them Why They Think God Doesn't Exist, They Can Only Present You With Theories (Words With No Basis). A Theory Means - It CAN'T be Proven. So Don't Raise Their Theory Above All Theories, It Takes No Precidence. You May Say, Well Isn't God a Theory, He Can and Has Been Proven.
My Husband Is A Good Illustration Of A Point He Has Used Over The Years. Evolution Theory Basically Says, The World & The Inhabitants (People, Animals, Etc) Happened By A Big Explosion. Now Imagine You Have Every Element, Mineral, Everything That It Needs To Make an Explosion To Create Something. If You Had 100 Billion Dollars To Buy All The Components That Were Involved In The Big Bang Theory. Can You Make Anything? Even If The Force & Compulsion Wasn't Near as What it "Supposedly" Was in "The Big Bang" -- Could You Make Anything, Even A Piece of Grass? No! Thought So. You Can't Start With Nothing and End Up With Something.
God Is All Around. He Is In The Wind, The Sky, Nature, A Newborn Babies Cry, -- He is In Some People. God Has Angels.
But Most Importantly There is A Really Important Piece of Literature That You Should Read, You Might Learn ALOT. It is Called The Bible and You Will Never Know Until You Read It. His Theories That Have Been Proved As Truth Are in There, Beautiful Poems, Love Stories, Stories of Tragedies, Etc. If You Was Taking A Course And They Required You To Read A Book, You Would. This is The Only Way To Prove The Existance of God. The Bible.
God is Perpetual ; The Word Perpetual In Mathmatics Is Non-Existant, But Yet God Is. He Had No Beginning Nor End. Another Logic In Mathmatics That Is Impossible Because Everything To The Carnal Mind Has A Beginning Or End. 0 Is Not A Number, But In Fact Is Non-Existant. How Did EVERYTHING Come To Be From 0 -- Which Is NOTHING!! Genesis 1:1 In The Beginning -- God --- Created.

It's almost always easier to prove a positive than to prove a negative.
If there is some obvious contradiction in the notion that God exists, then God's existence would be impossible, since contradictions are impossible. In that case, you'd have an air-tight case for God's non-existence. There have been a few attempts at constructing such an argument (the deductive argument from evil being the most famous attempt), but so far none of them have succeeded.
If there were some way to show that God's existence were necessary, then it would be impossible for God not to exist. In that case, you'd have an airtight case for the existence of God. There have been a few attempts at that, too (the ontological argument being the most famous attempt), but so far none of them have been successful either.
So I think "proofs" must fall in the realm of probability. A person can argue why think it is more or less likely that God exists, but so far nobody has come up with an irrefutable argument either way.
Personally, I think some of the arguments for God's existence are far more pursuasive than any argument against God's existence I've heard (and I've heard a lot of them), so I'm pretty convinced that God exists. I don't know it with absolute certainty--the kind of certainty with which I know that 2 and 2 make 4, or that I exist, or that the law of non-contradiction is true. But I would say I know God exists with about the same degree of certainty that I know my car will start if I go outside and crank it up right now (and I have a 2004 Honda Accord that has never given me any problems since I've owned it).

You have to define god before you can do either .
You can easily disprove the existance of an god decribed as an All Powerful AND All Good god . You can simpley observe that Trillions of animals , babies , children , and good people have sufered from things like disease , floods , being used as food , hurricanes , being tortured for enterainment , etc.
Can you prove the existance of a god . If you descibe Sun Young Moon as god , you can prove that he exists . If you descibe god as the Biblical god , you can not . Does the vengeful , jealous , hatelful , muderous god of the Bible exist ? I really can't prove it one way or the other . But I can prove the many fallacies of the Bible , such as contradictions ( Thou shall not murder ) , the gross exagerations ( Exodus ) , the poor science ( Creation ) , and the outdated science ( Don't eat scallops ) .
Can I prove or disprove the god of the New Testament ? There is no dependable body of evidence that Jesus existed . There is even less evidence that the followers of John the Baptist had ever considered someone named Jesus to be god . There is evidence that St.Paul created the Jesus God , and that he along with Constantine manipulated the writings of the NT to satisfy their desires .
Once you define somthing , it is up to the definers to prove it exists . If you claim you have a car that runs on water , you are not going to sell many until you prove you have one that works . Unless you ar a really good "snake oil" salesman . The only time other people have to go out of their way to disprove what doesn't actually exist is when this snake oil salesperson starts stealing from uneducated people . Otherwise the premise of if it exists , "prove it !" is in play . Otherwise we would have to spend our lives disproving every little thing that doesn't exist , like Unicorns . This is how the Scientologists bankrupted the Anti Cult Information Center . They just kept making them spend time and money defending against non existing claims .

Well to prove that God doesn't. Because it doesn't take any effort in proving a specific perspective based on scriptures which are esoteric. Your question is interesting in that way because mostly what people deny isn't actually "God" but rather the superstitious and primitive thoughts and beliefs that people attribute to the name "God." So it is a manner of perspective and debunking what is perceived as primitive/infantile thinking, which is easy. Who can't read some bible verse they don't understand the gnosticism of or the pattern interwoven in the allegory that is esoteric and operate from the reactionary/counter thinking to a fundamentalist who themselves do not at all know anything about the genuine realities that are concealed in the text and how it relates to them because they forfeit reasoning, understanding in believing something literal that was never meant to be taken that way, and go about and say the bible God said the earth is so and so, but this is not true and debunk the ridiculousness of it all.
What is more telling is that it is FAR harder to prove that God actually exist. Why? Because it requires you to unloose your mind and release all of your unworthy thoughts in regards what a "God" is then you have to turn within and apply yourself toward living and finding this truth in a wholistic manner. The truth is you can only prove God within yourself, that is you have the capacity to prove all things within yourself because there is a part of you that dwells in eternity, that is Light, that is pure Intellect and Mind and far exceeds anything that we could think and encounter on this planet and even the universe for that manner. You come to know God through actually knowing this Being which is your true Nature. So inorder to prove God you must prove thy Self and become genuine, after you accomplish that then you will be in the position to prove. I equate proof with direct acquaintance, direct experience, direct interaction, a continuous Epiphany - this proof would be salvific like, because it is through becoming full, it is in B-E-C-O-M-I-N-G or B-E-I-N-G. So it is a much narrow path to prove God then it is to disprove a perspective that is primitive.

What would constitute proof for you? I think that proof is highly subjective. Are we talking 'scientific method' or something else? Some others have talked about faith here and I agree that faith is a necessary component for believing just about anything, including "the Devil", Santa Claus, and the Easter Bunny.
My daughter was convinced that the tooth-fairy existed, and the coin under her pillow was proof enough for her. Perhaps we are all like children in this regard. It is comforting to have proof for intangible things. Some would look at the Earth Herself and say that it is proof that God exists. That answer works pretty well for me, but my concept of God may not be the same as yours. So, my question for you is: What is God?

The more science proves no need for a god the more ridiculous the claims about the nature of god become. We are now at a point where the concept of god is so outside the bounds of the laws of nature that proof would do no good in swaying a believer's opinion. There may be a logical rather than scientific proof that would dismiss any argument that constantly evades the boundaries of natural law. It is much easier to disprove the existence of a god.

In a non-closed system it is always easier to prove a positive than it is a negative. So, for example, in a closed system (like a box) it's easy to prove there are no mice in the box because any search for mice is guaranteed to terminate (once the entire volume of the box has been examined.)
To prove there are no mice anywhere would require an search of infinite length, which is impossible. On the other hand, finding one mouse anywhere would prove their existence.
So it's easier to prove the existence of god than to prove he doesn't exist. This doesn't mean that it's more likely that there is a god than the opposite. It just means that the former process, because it doesn't involve infinite and endless searching, requires infinitely less effort.

Philosophically speaking,
it is always easier to disprove something than to prove it.
So it always seems easier to disprove God's existence than to prove his existence. That gives some advantage to atheists, because this makes it look like they're right. Logic and human reasoning always seem simple, and well, "reasonable".
People who "know" God exists do so largely because of faith. Most of the time they don't need any logical and empirical proofs.
Four things settle the matter for me:
1. All things in the universe point to a Divine Creator
2. The Bible is proof enough for me of God's existence
3. God's answer to my prayers, be it a "yes" or "no", is more than enough proof for me.
4. Most important of all, because God is "God"-- i.e., he's the highest judge there is-- no human can judge him. A person can only judge God or prove his existence if this person was higher than God.

Does God exist or not? . This is the question, that everyone find the answer.
Nothing here is easier to prove. It is not easy to prove that God exists, and at the same time, it is not easy to prove that God does not exist.
It is difficult in both the ways:)
Atheists have Proven God Does Not Exist. At the same time, others too say that God exist.
Here there is no link between Science and God.
Well, the answer for your question is both are DIFFICULT to PROVE:)

God exists. Go outside and look around. Look in the mirror. You are not some random product of chance and time.
Romans 1:20 (NIV) For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
