Yes. The Brit version of fundamentalism is very wussy and weak-hearted, with tea-drinking, sign-waving, letter-writing grannies instead of the fire-breathing pastors the Americans have, and it runs contrary to the good old British ideal of stubbornly picking at something until it falls apart.
Atheism is gathering speed fast, especially amongst the younger generation. :)
