I have a problem where my mail-carrier almost never bothers to pick up my outgoing mail. I have a drop-in mailbox so I can understand if you miss a letter every so often, but this happens 9 times out of 10(particularly w/ those big, red, floppy Netflix envelopes). I don't know how I should deal w/ this.

Call your post office and ask them. Just be sure to call the one for your zip code. Maybe they will leave your carrier a message if you'd like.

When someone uses the numbers 9 times out of ten, I have got to question the situation. But anyway, you can't confront the carrier but you can call your local post office and file a complaint or make a request.

better to go right to the post office where your mail comes in and let them know your outgoing mail is not being picked up, rather than confront the mail person. otherwise you might find all your mail going astray.
To add to my answer. Do you or have you EVER given your mail person a Christmas gift( I usually leave $25. in a Christmas card addressed to "Our Mail person" ) I know that's no way to get good service and you should be able to rely on your mail person, BUT, it helps. I would still report him/her to the Post Master at your PO

Definitely DON'T tick him off. This is the same man who is in charge of delivering some very important documents (credit card bills, etc.) to your house. If you come off as snotty, some mail in the future might end up "lost." I usually just stop by a post office or drop-box on the way to work and throw my Netflix envelopes in there. Plus they seem to get back to Netflix a little faster if you drop them off at the post office yourself, rather than waiting for the mailman to pick them up for you. If all else fails you might try making an "annonymous" complaint at the post office to one of his superiors. Maybe just tell them which street you live on, but not which house!

Just ask him if there's a problem. Maybe he can't see if there is mail in there. Maybe you need to fix the flag to show that there is mail to pick up. Maybe your mailbox has bees in it, and he doesn't want to reach way in. Don't laugh - we get wasps in ours a lot. It doesn't have to be a confrontation - just a simple question or two.

Firstly, call your post office and ask to speak to the head post master(manager)....report what has happened and if after doing this things do not change, call your village hall ask for the President and tell him the situation, but I really feel it will be resolved with your post office....
