I cut myself with a razor in the shower last night on the toe next to the big toe and my feet (I had no socks on me after noon today) were pretty hot. When I touched it, it hurt. Is that because of the sweat or is it the start of an infection?

And just another detail. I noticed it was red around the cut.

Could be either. Sweat stings!

If the cut is red and puffy/swollen, then it's infected. Keep your foot clean, put some antibiotic on the cut, and keep it covered if you have a band-aid that will work on your toe.

Shaving cuts usually heal up pretty fast. I don't think you have much to worry about.

It's a cut. It's going to hurt when you touch it because it's an open wound. The sweat wouldn't have helped the situation either. Sweat contains salt, and we all know what salt does to wounds. Just cover it with a bandage if it's in a place that will have a lot of rough contact. That will prevent sweat everything else from causing you more pain.

Probably from sweat. When I shave my face (usually 630 am), and do something physical later in the day that causes me to sweat (like a work-out or jogging) my neck stings like you wouldn't believe.

Now, if your toe is getting tender and/or slightly puffy, you may have an infection, which neosporin or the like will fix.

have you ever had your blood sugar examined? could be diabetes, get your sugar below administration, the yeast infections decelerate, antibiotics are harsh on a diabetic and we could commence therapy for a yeast an infection while we start the medicine and it takes a pair of doses to absolutely therapy this, don't be fooled into letting this go untreated, you're able to develop vaginitis or pelvic inflammatory disease which will require hospitalization and is extremely painful

Whichever it is, it is best to treat it as an infection. If it is not, you protect yourself from getting one. Peroxide and a bandage.
