HHHHHEEEEEELLLLLL NOOO!!!

I do see that you are a female and your friend is a guy. I think he is maybe trying to impress you. to be sure, check his pay rate. If it isn't above $15.86 an hour, then he is fibbing.

I worked as a teller at B of A in Phoenix AZ and I started out at $9 an hour... guess it depends on how long he's been working there.. But tellers generally don't make that much .

depending on the bank you can make good money as a teller but unless you've been there for over 10 years you can't make 33k/year as a teller....

Bank of America or any other bank for that matter, or any other employer usually do not commit themselves to a set time to give raises. Raises are EARNED, not given. If you work hard , keeping your outages at 0, give good client service, and do the other duties of a teller, or any other job you may have, you may find a raise coming your way. If not you may not get one. Sometimes it seems this does not always work, but a good employer will work from this system. And just remember, raises are Earned and Not Given.

I was a teller for 25 years and never made that much money. Both banks I worked for offered quarterly incentives for cross selling other bank products, so if you worked for a bank for a long time and were a good salesperson, it might be possible.

No, they typically start out just a few dollars over min. wage. But I believe they have health insurance, benefits and a chance for advancement. You could do much worse than be a bank teller.

depending on where you live.. yes that can be true.
it also depends on how long youve worked there.
my sister is just starting as a bankteller and she will make about 25k a year so if your friend has been working there long.. it could be very true.

No; my daughter & my sister-in-law both worked as bank tellers, and made chump change - just over minimum wage.

You misunderstood either the 33 or the K.

Tellers make $10 an hour.
