The ones who seem to have the worst sense of humor are the creationists. In real life, I don't talk all that much about religion to people I just meet on the bus or whatever. But the worst sense of humor I have noted more generally are the so-called feminists. They really cannot accept that it was just a passing fad to do the whole "equality" thing. We have now confessed that men and women are very different, but don't agree on who is "superior." I say you just cannot compare us women to men, because we are individuals far more than any "average" would indicate. There are plenty of women who are larger, stronger, smarter, louder, etc., than the average man. There are plenty of men who are slim, quiet, gentle, good housekeepers, etc., compared to the average female. And they are not all gay, either!

In my opinion, humour at the expese of others can and most likely is hurtful. In an attempt not to qualify or judge, I try to just expain that it is what it is. In this case hurtful.

I'm not sure how one quantifies that. I wrote a question once in the middle of which I had occasion to refer to human beings (curse the lot of them) acting on their own interests. You would not believe the indignant responses I received for the "curse the lot of them" part. Not only no sense of humor, but apparently no knowledge of English literature.
