well, green is the most relaxing color, but it will only go well with your blue carpet if you get the right shade. it all depends on you though. i cant answer what your favorite color is! i think a cream would look really pretty with the right bright colored accessories to make it not boring.

Sherwin Williams has a creamy color called "steamed milk." It's neutral, so it will look lovely with the light blue carpet as well as with whatever bedding ensemble & accessories you have.

You can do a variety of colors from eggshell to yellow to a chocolate brown, have everything be a neutral like sand with one accent wall like dark brown, or you can choose to go with calming colors like blues and greens. Think about how you want your bedroom to feel. Do you want it to be welcoming and warm? Then choose warm colors like yellows or browns. Do you want it to be soothing and relaxing, maybe with a spa-like or seaside atmostphere? Then go the greens and blues route. Think about the feeling first, then choose your color.

First, buy your bedding and curtains.[ that go with rug, since that is your 'permanent' color. ]
Second, pick a color from the bedding or one that complements it. [ much easier to match paint to bedding, then bedding to paint. ]
Then get other accessories [ lamps, vases, ornaments, throw pillows, flowerpots/planters, candles/holders ] in the rug , wall, and bedding colors.
