The primary area of concern is not the engine and drivetrain, but the braking capability. Make sure that the truck's and trailer's brakes are in top shape and working properly.

Follow the owners manual recommendation on fluid changes for heavy duty situations.

Should be okay in most areas. It will be really slow pulling up steep grades in the mountains - like I70 heading west out of Denver. You need a turbo diesel to make speed on those grades at those altitudes.

Double check your brakes. Test your brakes at every "Brake test turn off area" you see on the road before steep down grades.

I'm assuming the engine is a 360. I'd think you'd be fine. Most 1/2 ton pickups would pull it, but they aren't heavy enough to handle the weight. The important thing is that you are using a 3/4 truck.

i know it will do that we use one to pull a 28 foot camper with and it does good,so that wont be no problem for that one,I'm assuming you have the 360 in it,the 318 doesn't do as good on pulling as the 360 does, the 360 is a real good engine and will handle that much ,good luck on it.
