so did god make me skeptical so that i would not believe in other gods that fall under the category of mythology? if so, do you think god accidentally made me too skeptical, and so now i can't even believe in him. believe me, i've tried. i just can't do it. why did god screw up?

The devil did it, not God.

God is omniscient, omnipresent and omnipotent. Haven't heard anything about God being omniperfect.
You are right, he screwed when it come to you.
I am sure IT is working in IT (it?) and will have you straighten out in no time flat.Patients is a virtue. But you knew that.
Maybe in a few lifetimes. There is no hurry. After all, there is all of eternity so we have all the time in the world to fix a mess up.
My!!!!! that sounded inclusive. But, it was just poor syntax

Nice try, but you made the choice to be skeptical or hyperskeptical as the case may be.

Divinity allowed it, humanity helps keep it up, the closest people in your life fostered it, but you gave skeptical thought birth.

I cannot speak for Divinity, but I know enough about humanity to say that you are no mistake, but a necessary part of the machinery to grind people's spirits. You balance the goody-two-shoes who see crack babies and unjustifiable homicides as a beautiful part of some Divine plan.

It is easier for you to believe that Divinity screwed up than for you to believe that you made the choice to be allowed to be driven into your current position by the very people whose job it was to nurture you.

No, you did it all to yourself. Free will. It is OK to be critical, especially of things that you should be.

God does not have accidents. Ask the Holy Spirit of God to guide you. He has promised if you seek Him with all your heart, you will find Him.

I spent a lot of time trying to believe - I prayed and read the bible everyday, but it never happened. So finally I figured that if god wanted me to know him/her, they would let me know. No one has yet.....

Free will choices played a large part in your willingness to turn away from God's Love.

Are you skeptical or just in denial?
Skeptical, inquisitive, agnostic, atheist, what ever name or word you want to use.
As long as you're not denying the truth.

I personally have to believe that if he/she/it was so concerned that you believe in a specific way, with particular creeds, he/she/it would have made it much more self-evident what the "right" way to believe is.
