So, do you think that Jesus is truly our saviour, or possibly just the figurehead for the biggest cult around?

I mean no offence to anyone, just asking a question that's all.

EDIT: I used the word our as a description of the general belief of Christians that he is saviour to all, so our, as in everyone. I wasn't aware that it was that confusing a statement?
My personal belief is that Jesus was just a man and he is indeed a figurehead for the biggest cult known to man.
I don't take issue with anyone elses belief system, to each his own, but in general I would say I am agnostic.

Cult leader.

You know I was just discussing with my husband (We are both pagans) that the message of chrisitianity is not bad. The people who corrupt and use chrisitanity as a weapon against others make christianity bad.

He might be YOUR savior or figurehead, but there are plenty of people on the planet who would say otherwise (the fact that you said "our" implies that you believe, so I'm at a loss as to understand the point of your question!).

Jesus was a truly enlightened being. He had compassion for all and knew that the Kingdom of God is a state of being, here and now. In this respect he is like Buddha, Gandhi and Lao Tzu and other great enlightened beings.

Christianity was invented by Saul of Tarsus.

Cult leader.

Exodus 21:15, 17 both say that if a child hits or curses his father, he is to be killed.

Leviticus 20:9 says that if a child curses his mother or father he is to be put to death.

Deuteronomy 21:18-21 requires stoning to death any child who is stubborn or rebellious

It was prophesised that Jesus - the Messiah was coming. He wasn't a figurehead for a cult. 'Christ has come,Christ has died and Christ will come again' No other cult leader has ever been able to do this!

Best wishes

Cult figurehead; the only difference between a cult and a religion is the number of members and amount of money in the bank

Jesus was a man. He lived, he taught, he died. The cult has next to nothing to do with anything he ever taught.
