The circular arrangement of the atoms in this molecule, with alternating single and double bonds between the carbons, is sometimes called the 'benzene ring'. Just thought I'd toss that in. There's a neat story about that; try looking up 'kekule' and see what he said led to him working that out (hint - it involved snakes, and quite possibly vodka...)
