We always had fundies who report anyone who disagrees, but we did not have trolls who would report everything you do.

That practice was started by Chosen by Grace and those like him have picked it up.

I agree with Deke, this reporting system will be the ultimate downfall of YA.

Are you here to discuss or are you here to remove anyone who disagrees?

Many of the thinking people have already left because of the ridiculous reporting system. The YA staff have played a major role in it too. When it dwindles to just a look see site, they will be out of a job. I seriously believe they were the ones who were responsible for the creation of the Atrocious Troll Patrol, to help them accomplish a task given them to "clean up" YA. They went overboard with it to the extent of having a Mr Troll Patrol Boss who ACTUALLY recruited Christian Fundies to do the reporting. People were being reported for practically any reason. AND being suspended!

I am here to discuss. The only times I have reported anything have been when extreme vulgarity is used. I have never reported anyone just because I disagreed with his/her viewpoint.

In all fairness, I think there may be some other than Christians who report anyone with whom they disagree.

I agree with Deke and with you.

Yes, I still get some silly violations, but no 20 in one day account deaths anymore.

I don't understand the how the new report system is better?
All they did was make a glossier 2 step process, and throw in a Yamster.

O, and they changed the definition from "Report Abuse" to "Report it"

And made the button ABSOLUTELY HUGE.

Yesterday a poster asked a question about the State Department employees who were upset about going to Iraq. They asked the question in the R&S section.

I posted an answer stating: "How is that a R&S question."

It was reported and removed.

Yahoo is cool.

Yep and I also remember a time when keeping things private actually helped.
I think those times are gone now as well.
Mine isnt private anymore.

I know, it's annoying. I can name dozens of former regulars who were driven away from here because of it.
