I loathe PC, I wonder whether anyone out there shares my feelings about it, knows who invented it, when, why and any good ways one can subvert it, frustrate it, or turn it into a laughing-stock?

Glee, Agreed. Politeness and good manners are a vital part of culture. I am talking about PC - something completely different.

Well the fact that there are more double standards than anything else undermines the whole concept of political correctness. A white person cannot say the "n word" not even as a joke yet its fine for a black person to say it to another or even for a black person to mock a white person for their colour.

Hypocrites are what make political correctness so laughable, no one needs to undermine it as it is already happening. All you need do is point of the obvious Hypocrisy and it will speak for itself.

It's cultural Marxism and the name originated as something of a joke, literally in a comic strip.

Cultural Marxism, or Political Correctness, says that all history is determined by power, by which groups defined in terms of race, sex, etc., have power over which other groups. Nothing else matters. All literature, indeed, is about that.
Everything in the past is about that one thing.

History goes back to World War I. And it is the Christian religion of the Western civilization itself that is the enemy of Cultural Marxism. The greatest obstacle to the creation of a Marxist paradise is the culture: Western civilization itself.

The last thing Political Correctness wants is for people to figure out it's a form of Marxism.

The theory is to CRITICIZE. The theory is that the way to bring down Western culture and the capitalist order is not to lay down an alternative. They explicitly refuse to do that. As long as we live under repression the Freudian condition and as long as we continually criticize we can bring the current order down. What Critical Theory is about is simply CRITICIZING. It calls for the most destructive criticism possible, in every possible way, designed to bring the current order down. And, of course, when we hear from the feminists that the whole of society is just out to get women and so on, that kind of criticism is a derivative of Critical Theory. It is all coming from the l930s, not the 1960s.

The sad part is that this evil is working. America is dividing right down the middle. "Do your own thing" is the order of the day. "If it feels good do it." "Make love, not war." "Liberating tolerance is intolerance for anything coming from the Right and tolerance for anything coming from the Left.

"Hate crimes" is where we now have people serving jail sentences for political thoughts. And the Congress is now moving to expand that category ever further. Affirmative action is part of it. Terror against anyone who dissents from Political Correctness. We've seen it happen in Russia, in Germany, in Italy, in China, and now it's coming to America.
And we don't recognize it because we call it Political Correctness and laugh it off. It's not funny. It is here, it's growing and it will eventually destroy, as it seeks to destroy, everything that we have ever defined as our freedom and our culture.

The on a daily basis Mail and different tabloids as a obtainable capture-all with a view to describe each and every little thing they do no longer approve of. human beings, "afraid to speak their minds", "the main suitable propaganda marketing campaign considering Lenin & Stalin sat down & stated ' top, how do we convice this lot that its great to be unfavorable'." No hyperbole there then!

In it's modern form, I think it started at Berkley University, which seems to a hotbed of good intentions taken to their stupid extremes.
There is no way to avoid it as someone will always find a way to be offended, so the best way is just to ignore it. I find "Stupid B**t**d" a lot easier to say than "Educationally Challenged Parentally Inadequate Person"

Hello,

It has been around longer than I thought and apparently started in the 1920's in the Frankfurt school in Germany.

It was invented by a one legged lesbian with a speech impediment ,no hair ,false teeth ,24 stone ,unemployed, bad breath and whom we must all respect.
Without such rules of course we could all just tell the truth!!

I loathe it too. It's the enemy of free speech, and, for that matter. common courtesy. Goodness knows where it began.

It isn't about being PC. It is about having manners and respect. Why is that so hard for you?
