Because they probably can't get the right flavored into the bag they probably tested it out on some cats and the cats obviously didn't like it. Either The people making the mouse flavored cat food just gave up or they had pet mice. lol!!!

The same reason the add artificial color to dog food. Dogs are color blind and can't see the bright colors. It boils down to marketing schemes to appeal to the consumer, NOT the animal. Studies have shown the dog prefer the internal organs over the meat, however the internal organs smell very foul to humans and therefore, the pet owners would not purchase it. Cat food comes in chicken, turkey, beef and fish flavors. All flavors that humans can relate to and would actually WANT to feed their cats. Not too many people would buy mouse flavored cat food. I can't imagine too many consumer buying intestine, kidney, brain, heart, or stomach flavored pet food, although I have seen liver flavored. It simply boils down to, what is appealing to the consumer, not the animal that is actually eating it.

No idea why but have a star cos thats a good question! oh hang on, its probably cos flavours like rabbit have already been developed synthetically for stuff like pot noodles so its cheaper than paying the flavour makers to come up with mouse flavour, cos they;d have to pay ppl to test real mouse and then test the flavour to see if they match!!

you will desire to purchase 'mouse' flavored cat foodstuff. Mice flavor comparable to fowl, so as that they placed fowl into the cat foodstuff, and the cats think of they're ingesting 'mouse flavored cat foodstuff.' How do i be attentive to this? I had a pal who became stranded in a cave for the period of a flood for 3 months, and he had to consume the small lizards and mice that he caught ... i be attentive to, it extremely is extraordinary, yet real.

I wander why so many women have cats and say their over fed moggies don't eat mice. The cat in the wild, would find it difficult to open a tin! And they don't predates horses(cat food content).

There is! It runs around in my garden and my tom gets his supermarket cat food cut down drastically at this time of year. He often brings some tasty little morsel in for me to share.
