I understand your issues here. I have a seizure disorder, I also have recurrent migraines. My worst migraine was over 2 weeks long and I ended up in the ICU with side effects from attempted treatments.
Your neurologist, I'm sure, is following your symptoms closely, if the headaches are not being relieved with the medications prescribed, then you need to get back with your neurologist. Neurologic issues are never a one drug treats all issue. Just as it takes time to find and adjust the medications for your seizures, it can take time and adjustment for headaches.
The antiepileptic drugs are actually the best at preventing migraine headaches. I find that Topamax, Keppra and Zonegran are very effective for this as well as Depakote. There are also non AED medications which can be used for migraine prophylaxis.
I use a combination of traditional, physical, psychological, and non traditional methods in treating my patients, and have also found it worked best for myself.
Working with psychotherapist, I trained in biofeedback so I could control my migraine pain without medications. This I found worked best for me As I did not like adding more medications to my system.
There are many treatments for migraine. Acupuncture and biofeedback work well for some people, I usually don't recommend Chiropractic for my eplileptic and complicated migraine patients..
You will see many responses on here, the only thing I can guarantee you is nothing can ever work for 100% of the people with any condition. There are just too many variables. Anyone who says they can cure 100% of their patients is a fool or a quack. That being said, there is a treatment for everyone, and everyone can improve.
Work with your neurologist.

Stress causes headaches, take a holiday, a relaxing weekend. Speak to your doctor, and see what they say. Its probably just stress. Take a paracetamol everyday, it often helps me. Also headaches are caused by changes in the body, so if you are gaining or losing weight quickly try and stop it.

Jockman4 is right - you must be persistent with your doctors. I suggest starting with your regular physician and ask for blood tests and maybe even a scan of your brain to check for issues. When I first read your symptoms I thought of Lyme disease or something similar. Go back to your doctor and describe your symptoms and tell him/her that you want some tests done. You may also want to be checked for sleep apnea as lack of sleep can cause headaches and fatigue. I hope that you're better soon.

There is no medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for almost all painful diseases like RA, Back ache, earache etc. Hence they become chronic.
Acidity, WORRY, sadness, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation; drug side effects, stress, bad smell, TV & COMPUTER SOMETIMES,
Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 100% success in treating migraine &H/A confirms it.
Acupuncture is the best treatment.
I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.
Pain killers don't treat the pain but we loose the sense of pain for some time; in that duration our body itself treats sometime and credit goes to meds.
These useless drugs have enormous power to create hazardous side effects like liver/kidney failure, ulcer, acidity and lot others.
Avoid late sleeping if possible; worry, spicy foods, sour fruits, stale bakery foods and alcohole.
Sweet foods, COCOANUT WATER,sweet fruits, milk, rice, SPROUTS, SALADS and good sleep will help you if cough is not there.
But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves' juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it is very strong.
Pl search a painful point 3-6 mm behind your thumb nail and press it, H/A will disappear within 30 seconds!

I am epileptic too and my daughter has migraines. It is basically trial and error on any medications for each one. My have been OK now after lots of different drugs, but we are still trying to get my daughter's migraines under control and have been working on it for about a year. Topomax is suppose to be a preventive for migraines, Midrin and maxalt are suppose to help stop them, but they haven't worked yet, I think she needs a higher dose of topamax.
They use several seizure drugs for migraines,,call and let them know you are having any relieve and need something else,,,,,,xx

cant give you much advice apart from seeing your GP or neurologist My mother dies at an early age (52) because she had a headache. She was given paracetomol from the GP and a day later she was dead. Turns out she had an embolism on the brain which caused a stroke from which she never recovered. Not trying to scare you but persist at the docs..If my mother had she may be alive today , dont let them fob you off with crap!

Another reason apart from all ones others have already said is dehydration. I would go back to your doctor though and demand a full check up just to be on the safe side.
