His private phone conversation should not have been made available to the public to start with. I personally don't think he said anything that bad. He was just trying to protect his son. Why are people making such a big deal about this?

I first heard the short version and just now got to hear the long version of this phone conversation between Tucker and Mr. Chapman.
I hear a Father disciplining a son whose girlfriend was making threats and stirring up problems between the family members.
Every family has at one time or another gotten on to their children who were hanging around people who were a bad influence.
It is extremely obvious Mr. Chapman was very correct in his assessment of the whole situation concerning his son Tucker and his girlfriend.
While Mr. Chapman is talking to his son the very son whose is recording this conversation is lying to his Dad on this tape about his girlfriends intentions.
THEY WERE NOT JUST HIS GIRLFRIENDS INTENTIONS ~ OBVIOUSLY!!!

Shame on A&E, Black leaders for getting involved and promotion a rebellious son.

Freedom of Speech is still a part of the American Constitution, although there is a "politically correct" crowd that tries to dictate correct speech. In addition, the comment was made in a private conversation. Tape recording a telephone conversation without permission is illegal in many, if not most, parts of the country.

I was a freedom rider in the 60's and have many black friends. We use the word ****** among ourselves regularly in jest, but if one of our private conversations got released, I would be the one blasted because I am not black.

Since 1999 I have headed up a group that deals with abuse of children...ALL children regardless of color or ethnicity...in our schools. I met with one of Al Sharpton's designees in 2003 to get support. He wasn't interested. For him to get involved it has to be in the headlines.

Same thing with California elected officials Richard Alarcon, Cruz Bustemante, Carol Liu, Jack Scott, Wendy Gruel (all of whom I met with personally) and Kevin McCarthy, LA Mayor Villaraegosa, Congresswoman Maxine Waters and others who ignore illegal activities in schools for political reasons. Who do you think is more obscene?

I agree. It's not like he was broadcasting out over the radio and used that language. It was a private phone conversation between him and his son. No matter what language he used it's noone's business. And if you think it is, then start recording all your phone calls and posting the audio files on the net for the rest of us to scrutinize....

I've heard the conversation and it has obviously been edited to remove the original context.
DOG ROCKS

He wasn't trying to protect his son...he was alienating him because he is dating a black woman.

I feel sorry for his son and his girlfriend. I don't feel sorry for "Dog". For someone who is supposed to be so understanding to criminals who are crack heads, drug dealers and bail jumpers I find it absolutely pathetic that he can't be more understanding to his own son's feelings towards this beautiful woman. I find it absolutely disgusting that his son is 24 years old and "Dog" is trying to manipulate him like this.

Dog's racist slurs in the phone conversation are disgusting and totally uncalled for.

He was using racial slurs. Of course people will be angry.

Also, he wasn't trying to "protect" his son- he was just angry that his son was dating an African American girl and was afraid he would use the "n word" infront of her at some point.

Dog was convicted in the murder of a black man in Texas, back in 1977. He claims to have changed his life, yet he uses racial hatred freely. I don't think he has changed his ways, nor has he sought an atonement being apart of the murder of an innocent black man.

I don't' like his haircut and affected, Jesus attitude. He seems fake to me, like a male version of Brittany Spears.
