I grew up on the military base when i was younger in Alamagordo NM, my dad was stationed there for about 7yrs we moved after that and we wanted to go back and visit. Will they still let you on base without having to know someone? Or could they just bring up my dads files?

It will depend on the individual installations rules and what the FPCON level is. A lot of bases are "open" and all you have to do is show ID and state your business and they search your car. Other's are "closed" which means that you have to be actually working there or have an actual reason for going there.

Y E S, there should be a information building
before the gate to the military base and they may allow you a temperary pass to visit there, but you may have to know someone who is stationed there! Ask your father about it!!

no. you must have an ID or legitimate business there. just wanting to revisit the old homestead is not enough. The base has no record of you or your father ever being there.

If your dad is a retiree he can get on any base with his retiree ID. If not, they will not let you on.
