I am currently using acne free, a 3 step program I bought from Walmart. I have been using it for about 4 weeks. I would like to know about how long it take to see a clear face with any type of medications, to figure out if I need to wait a couple more weeks or just call my doctor for a dermatologist referral. thanks.

I am seeing small baby step progress, and I didn't expect much more than that. So far, I see that i do have smoother skin where I am not affected by acne and I have only seen one new pimple within the past couple of days. Are those good signs or should I be expecting more at this point?

By 30 days you should notice it helps - if you aren't satisfied altogether I'd find a stronger regime by an MD - I think you may need one - (acne free is good but if you have a lot of break outs its not going to be 100%).
It's good, but not as 'great' as you may be able to get with a 'script from the derm.!

Right now my skin is perfectly clear, for the first time in 3 years. It's been about 9 weeks and all my acne is gone. It is such a great feeling to wake up with clear skin.

all the signs your are getting are good and you should continue to use this product. skin cells slough off on a cycle every 28 days and this is why it takes so long to see full results. you really have to start getting that old dead skin off creating a kind of "clean slate" effect with the new skin underneath. the cleanser is partially responsible for this but it is mostly a product of time and waiting for this natural cycle to occur. it generally takes 2 weeks for a pimple to come to formation where you can see it and where it may be painful. so you can see that you need to be on the product for several weeks to get all the pimples out of your system. make sure you are drinking lots of water too, it will help flush toxins and things out of your system and promote a faster clearing of the skin.

Depends on your condition (no two acne problems are the same), your situation, your cleanliness, and the medication (many of them react differently on different people, and many work better than others). My suggestion is to skip the crap at Wal-Mart and go see a dermatologist that knows what they are doing.
