I met that man, and he proposed marriage to me. He said that he was looking for a woman who would accept him as a house husband, because at 34 he was tired of living with his parents. He asked me, too, what is that exactly I did for my living, and if I could afford a good computer, connected to the Internet, a playstation and plasma TV with at least 200 cable channels. He said that he did not mind to wait till I come home from work to cook im dinner and clean and wash, and that as he loved children, he wouldn't mind a couple, but I'd better hire a nanny.
I refused, because he looked very well fed by his parents (he doesn't work), and I did not feel that I could provide the same standard of eating for him. I told him so, and he said that I would regret it afterwards, because he was a very nice man, and said he was willing to give me a second chance. He
said he would even go without the playstation, if I let him use my cards to subscribe to games on-line.

It's the truth, and the whole truth, and this conversation happened yesterday.

What?! So basically someone came up to you and asked if they could live in your house, eat your food and use your money ? Why the hell would you say yes?

Ok, I know I'm not a man, but you are totally right. He just wants to mooch off you instead of his parents because you will probably have sex with him. His parents never motivated him to do anything so now he isn't motivated to even have a job to help take care of you and a future family. It is very selfish and if you did accept, you probably would resent him soon enough for not doing his fair share. I say run away fast or reason with him to start acting like a responsible man. You can do sooo much better.

Geez...what guy wouldn't love a woman to keep him up and all he had to do was lay around all day playing video games and playing on the computer? That's exactly why he's still living at home with mommy and daddy at 34. You would regret it if you took him up on it. Why on earth would you need a nanny if he was home all day? What a loser...I hoped you laughed at him like the joke he is.

This guy sounds like a bum. Sorry for saying that but reading this just made me ill. A marriage is a two way street. He needs to get up and do something as well. Women don't have to do everything. I guess I am a guy that likes to help out with the dishes or alternate doing different stuff. You get a lot of praises if you help out trust me there.

WHAT , this is a real person. NO NO NO, you didn't make the wrong chioce. What is this man going to give you in return, FOR EVERYTHING? Nothing, maybe some sex now and then. Thats not worth it. I have so much to say, i just don't have time to type it all. NEVER NEVER NEVER, marry this man, you will be so sorry you did. You are a women and need someone to take care of you sometimes. Though this this sounds like a joke, I'm gonna reply seriously.

Up to you. I think it's doomed from the start (what self-respecting MAN wants to wear an apron and watch Oprah?) but if this matches your expectations, and if you can tell your friends and family that you have a "kept" man, then go for it. But if this bothers you--even one millimeter--today, it's gonna grate on you in the coming weeks/months/years.

It is, of course, your call, but if you're looking for a yes or no answer here, then yes, you shudda rejected him.

Where did you find this gem???? How long have you 2 been together. Or was this some guy you met at the bar and he was just trying his best pick up line. WOW what a loser sounds like it could make for a good sit-com.

You cannot be serious!

Sorry - but a 34 year old guy, who is still living with his parents? That conversation would not have gotten close to marriage.
