I was looking for a loan and was contacted by the Collingwood Groups that I was approved for the loan I applied for. They said it was from a private lender of theirs.

It's probably a scam. Check with the state's atty general; and if they are asking for any money up front, lose them.

Private or not, they have to an Dunn and Bradstreet #
or Social Security #, or State ID #, or something that
identifies them as a legitimate business. Do you know
where they are located? I would be very careful
however they already do have your information. So
make sure anything you don't understand on your paperwork
and read the fine print, then specifically ask the questions
and get the answers in writing bfore you sign it.

Never even heard of them. Me personally, I'd go with someone well-known.
