^ Just what that says! I was really thinking about it! Urine contains ammonia, and I just bleached my toilet... So if I go pee, will the fumes mix and come up and kill me while I'm on the toilet? That would be just awful!

No.
It takes quite a bit of chlorine gas to make you sick, much less kill you. Waaaay more than you could accidently make in your toilet.
In the first place, the water in your toilet severly dilutes the bleach.
In the second, unless there is somethign seriously wrong with your system, urine does not contain a very high concentration of ammonia, and a good portion of what's there is actually bound up in a less reactive crystaline form.
Third, even if you had concentrated chemicals, the volumes would not be sufficient to produce a lethal amount of gas.
So, pee with impunity, and remember to wash your hands.

I am sharing my experience which just LITERALLY happened five minutes ago which is what lead me to this forum..So my son has DUCHENNE MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY so he uses a portable toilet at times. I clean the pot and pour bleach with water until his next use, however last nite for whatever reason I only poured bleach n no water. 2 minutes after placing my son on his toilet he screaming that his genitals are burns and can I bring water and hurry.Soon as I walked in the room my eyes burned and immediately started 2 water there was an overwhelming order n I asked him what did he do ,his response was I only peed I immediately threw my son of the toilet and ran for our yard and lifted all windows when I returned the living room there was still a lingering smell for MAYBE 2 min hope oir story helped

it's not concentrated ammonia in urine...if the concentration was there and the volume of liquid was there when you bleached the toilet, toxic fumes would be present.

it takes time for the components in urine to break down into ammonia, no you won't die unless you park yourself on the john for several days, and keep adding more bleach.

No that shouldn't happen. See,you said there is ammonia,but their is not a high enough percentage of it to cause that from happening. Don't worry. :)
