Most people who are allergy to cats are allergy to compounds in their dandruff that are spread in the hair when they shed. Check with your vet. Mine has a medicine that we give the cat once a week that alters the dandruff so that people are no longer affected by it. Cost about $4 a month to treat my cat.

Healthy then finding medicine for the baby.

if you don't want to get rid of your cat then just try to clean it and brush it a couple times a week. it's their saliva that they are allergic too when they clean themselves it gets in the hair. i was never allergic to my cat until after i had my son. now I have to wash my hands after petting him or i'll get itchy hands and face.
