Meh.. My dogs take care of that.. it's hard for someone to try and convert me with 240lbs of dogs behind my back looking very unwelcoming. Most of them can't talk straight, keep losing thier train of thought and end up leaving, it especially helps when I can't even hear what they are saying over the barking. I love my dogs... they keep all the annoying people away and stop them from trying to persist when I say No.. To be honest right now it's those darn energy mongers trying to get me to sign contracts that are bugging me at the moment, they don't seem to understand NO!! but they do understand GGGGGGRRRRRRROOOOOWWWWLLLL!!
PS The JW who walked in my house uninvited while I was in the bathroom learned her lesson, I had tried to be kind and polite to her and she overstepped her boundaries. My dog had her at the door and was freaking out, she is lucky he is not really aggressive. She called him cross, I told her he was doing his job and to get out. At that time I only had one dog now I have 3... when people knock on my door they would have to be crazy to walk in uninvited now..

I just don't think that's very kindly, but it happens a lot. The fact is I don't feel at all bad about being rude to these brainwash victims. I guess they think they get points for annoying people.

kindly tell them what you think of their beliefs and why they are not rational to you. Same way you would kindly evidentially say no to someone trying to get you to vote a certain way

You need to learn to draw lines and set limits.
Say, "I am not interested," in a tone of voice that indicates that that is the end of the discussion.

"No thank you" usually works. But every now and then you have to be more forceful. There are a few instances where I have had to tell people to "get the h3ll away from me"

If you tell them "No thank you" and they still persist, then start growling at them every time they come around.

Someone who is trying to convert me is not respecting me, and is therefore not being kind.

No one does. My reaction if they did would put a swift and permanent end to any further attempts though.
