I met this really great guy through my sis. We talked for a while on myspace and the phone. We were really able to talk to each other. He told me that he had just gotten his heart broken and he realized too late that he loved his girlfriend. He tried to get her back but eventually gave up. He told me that he wasn't ready for a relationship. So we were friends. I went down there(he lives about 600 miles away) and I was immediately attracted to this guy. I'm not easy to impress and I had it bad for him. We continue to talk and I go down there again a couple months later and he wants me to stay with him for the whole nine days. I'm good with it, i really dig this guy. So I meet his mom, dad, sister, brother, pretty much the whole fam. When we are in public and alone he can't not touch me. He holds me when we are around his family. But when I let him know that my feelings are getting involved he says he is still not ready. I talked to one of his friends

and she says one minute he says that he really cares for me and thinks he's ready and the next he just isn't ready. To make a long story short I fall in love with him, and he still says that he isn't ready. He never tells me i'm pretty or beautiful. He tell me his co workers and friends say it, So basically the last time I went down there I ended it. I'm not the type of girl to settle for an out of town bootie call thing. So now I can't get him out of my head. I can't stop hoping that he will call and want to be with me. Any ideas how i can get on with my life or get him to want me the same way I want him?

You could always go back to myspace, maybe check out Yahoo personals, or okcupid. There are lots of guys out there looking for a girl that will put her all into it, and that sounds like you. You never know, you could meet your next lover when you are out getting some milk or buying gas. Just try to be open to the idea that someone new will come along.

Nothing is wrong with you. Hard to impress? There's more to it than that.
The minute he falls for you he won't be attractive to you any longer. Lots of us are drawn to what we cannot have. Then when we get it, the fun is gone.

600 miles is a ridiculously long distance to start a relationship in.

He doesn't seem enthusiastic, maybe because he just had his HEART BROKEN!.

If he won't show you affection in private or commit, he isn't ready to return to the dating world.

My advice is cut your losses and move on.

you can't force what's not there. It won't work. Don't put your life on hold for something that doesn't sound like it will ever work.
