All the same, I strongly believe it is a result of the changing times. Things have become so modern that we many times seem to forget what was and in so doing, we forget the good things.

It also works for the bigoted who would have the world believe otherwise since it serves their agendas, political and otherwise.

I've heard that if you hear a lie sufficient times, you tend to believe that it is the truth and stop questioning its validity.

Dare you post a live link?

More importantly, how do you explain Article 11 of the treaty of Tripoli?

"As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion; as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquility, of Mussulmen; and, as the said States never entered into any war, or act of hostility against any Mahometan nation, it is declared by the parties, that no pretext arising from religious opinions, shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries."

If this was so wrong, why was it not amended? Instead it was passed unanimously by all 23 Senators.

How hard would it have been to just delete the first part of that sentence? But for some reason Jefferson thought it important enough to put in. President Adams thought it important enough to leave there, the review committee decided that it should stay, and the 23 Senators obviously agrees that it should go though as is.

This was done by the founding fathers. Why do you try to second guess them hundreds of years later?

Even if that were the case, people need to accept that a lot has happened in the US of A since a bunch of British guys landed here on a boat (to escape religious persecution and do what they wanted in those regards, mind you).

People have immigrated from all over the world, new opportunities have come around, new schools of thought have been developed, literature has been created, scientific discoveries proven, and so on and so on... With an evolving world a nation has to evolve as well.

The constitution states that we have freedom of religion. That means that you can be the most fundamentalist bible beating Christian in the world just like you can believe in no deity at all and have no religion while having the same rights as the religious person.

I think you need to find more unbiased research for your argument. Judeo/Christian philosophy has influenced this nation but if you looked towards the roots I think you could argue that Greek democracy and laws have had greater influence which at the time were not Judeo/Christian. You can even argue that Roman law had more influence.

This is how Gods Word answers: 2Corinthians 4:3-4 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Because they are either afraid of the truth or just being rebellious. Its easier for most to run from the truth, hoping it is a lie, than to sit down, really look at it and see how real it is, and then know the must submit to God of their own will to do HIS will. WHen one isnt of God, they operate in rebellion, due to the influence of the devil. But, it our choice who we listen to , and who we hear and obey. God gives us choice. But we are each to receive according to our choice, be it wonderful blessings or horrendous consequences
God bless you for the question, and loved the human events thing. God bless you over and over again.

Your link didn't work. And I think your question is nonsensical. Just because the US was founded by Christians does not make Christianity the truth. Why don't you just go on believing whatever you do, and let everyone else do the same?

Your link is as dead as your rationality and reason.
Open your mind to the actual truth, not the invented 'truth'.
