I know exactly how you feel. I have no desire to do anything. The depression and exhaustion have taken over my heart, my soul, my mind! I have wonderful ideas but no energy to complete the task at hand. I too feel like I am wasting space, but am not ready to go on to the other side. I want the old "me" back again. I want to go back to being the girl with no worries and the one who loved to craft and be "funny". Now it takes all my energy just to get up and face the day. I wish I could tell you what to do to feel better, but I am in the same boat. At least you now know that you are not adrift in the sea alone.

I'm sorry to read about how down you are. We are here, though not where you are to be able to invite you over to talk or something. It does sound like depression. The empty feeling you talk about and the exhaustion and just wanting to sleep all sound like depression. I know what it is like to put on a face while being depressed. Do you have family close-by? It sounds like you shouldn't be alone for a while. Think about having someone stay with you or go to them for a little while. It really helps to be with someone when you are feeling like this, to feel less alone in the world.

Maybe a new medication is needed, or possibly some therapy.

wow, i am really sorry to hear how badly you're doing. my sis was hospitalized 2x for depression and really struggles now a 3 years later. The good news is she is getting better and able to do more. Maybe you just haven't found the right doctor yet. Are you in therapy? That is very important too. I have found that psychotherapy is pretty useless, but behavioral therapy is better because it gives you concrete steps to take to move yourself along. One of the basics is don't allow yourself to sleep so much. set your clock and just force yourself to get up. it will be pretty impossible at first, but it will get easier and easier until you don't even need the clock anymore. it could be the meds that are making you so tired. maybe taking them at a different time of day will help or just switching altogether.

I know from experience that the more you sleep, the more you want to sleep. Good luck.

It'll take some more time to find the right medication. You may get relief sooner if you get electic shock therapy. I was fortunate enough to have the kind of depression that burns itself out, but it doesn't seem like you are that way.

Sounds like your working in HP.:)

Its time for your body to get some rest. Take a few days off and change your routine.
You should have some one special to talk to as you have lost your sense of purpose in life and nothing to look forward too.
Maybe that someone special could help bring you back to life and give you a new sense of purpose in life, something to look forward to.
You have to help yourself as nobody can help if you don’t want to.
I know you can do it as I have done it.

Don’t forget to SMILE as you do not know what it would bring you and it cost nothing.
