Most organ meats are high in fat and cholesterol but they do usually have a fair amount of iron. It is a protein source.

No it is not fattening. It is the way that you cook it that might make it fattening. I believe it is containing all the b vitamins, trace elements, folic acid ....... so, all in all it is quite good for you.
