It's taking pride in the fact that you've lived long enough to have a few gray hairs. Or in my case, a lot of them.
Those of us with gray pride refuse to submit to the idea that the only worthwhile things in life are being young, being young, and being young. We've paid our dues, done our time, and lived to tell the tale.
So you young whippersnappers had better watch out, or we'll leave tire tracks up and down your rumps with our power wheelchairs! ;-)

It's the celebration of the gray people. They have quite a parade complete with a Walker Brigade and the Depends and Catheter Corps. Some people think the way they flaunt their wrinkles in public is offensive but I think it's great. They deserve respect from us whippersnappers.

Gray pride is being proud of the fact that one is a senior citizen, rather than being ashamed of it for some obscure reason.

Gray pride is awareness of and pride in being older. We're tired of being overlooked and underestimated.

like gray panthers - wanting respect for reaching a certain age, rather than people assuming you'll shuffle into an old people's home and do what you're told.

Being proud of having gotten old enough to be able to read, unlike the people who see "gay" when it says "gray."
