It was written by man through God.

For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. 2 Peter 1:21

Plus the bible, " God's words" have stood up through the test of time. People have come and gone that have stood against the bible and what it stands for. Their gone but the bible stills stands!!

But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached to you. 1 Peter 1:25

This is why I live by the bible. By the way people who live by the bible are not dumb or follow by blind faith, we are to study and be ready to give an answer when asked.

Study to shew thyself approve unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
2 Timothy 2:15

It is true that the bible was written by humans.

The Creator used some 40 different men in a way similar to how a boss would use a personal secretary. (2 Peter 1:21)

Scriptures such as 2 Timothy 3:16,17 as well as Isaiah 48:17,18 gives us the answer to why we humans should live by the bible.

God wrote that Bible, through the visions and everything that took place, That is Gods Word to us that we are to abide by, It also shares with us The Truth, We have No Excuse when We Know of The Lord when we stand before Christ in judgement if we haven't accepted The Savior into our life.
The Bible is the oldest book around, and many have tried to destroy it, but have been unsuccessful, God won't let that happen, Many gave thier lives, were burned ect, because they knew the truth, and won't let go, once your spiritual blindness is removed you know this is not your home.

Because they believe it is inspired by God, either that or tradition. Frankly I don't understand why either, since the Bible wasn't inspired by God, only humans. But these are the only reasons why I think people would live by it, though.

How about
Exod 24:12
The LORD said to Moses, "Come up to me on the mountain and stay here, and I will give you the tablets of stone, with the law and commands I have written for their instruction."

So God have written it. and The Holy Spirit in the Holy men.

2Ti 3:16
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,

Well I hope you read that little, accurate piece about Constantine.

The stone tablets worked better for me than this inspiration guck.

Burning Bush -- ummmmm.

People claim to live by the Bible, but don't. People claim that everything in the Bible is true. My God!

If everything was true and recognized as the ultimate Truth the religious wouldn't need so many 'churches' with which to 'not like'.

The Bible Seems confused right from the start. Please don't tell me God is talking to himself. This is not The Three Faces of Eve here. I wouldn't want to delve into His mental state of health.

Essentially it sounds to me like 'we have one president' sort of thing.

Genesis

"26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping animal that creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God created man in his [own] image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said to them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living animal that moveth upon the earth.

God wrote it.....not man

2 Peter 1:20-21 “Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.”

2 Timothy 3:16 “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness”
