I wish I was! I recall telling a Doctor after he had read my large medical file, for 3 hours and then asked me 'What is the exact problem?' answer 'At this stage I think it must be Munchhausen syndrome!' Bad mistake, as first he held my hand and then said 'Well I do know you have a blood problem!' I replied 'Is that the same one the Consultant Hematologist failed to diagnose, or a new one?' He was just a Doc, not a Consultant Hematologist. For my trouble I was admitted for a bone marrow biopsy!

I worked with someone like this and it was quite annoying. I think it's all in the head and you work yourself up to it. If someone had a cough for instance, she swore you had the flu and were going to infect her. She spray Lysol all day. Needless to say shes no longer here so we don't get the drama anymore.

I am not like that, but obviously there are others like that, otherwise the word "hypochondriac" would not exist.
