This earth will no longer be here so heaven would be some other place.

Rev 21:1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea

Jesus said in John 14:3

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

No, we will never see heaven as it stands because it will be destroyed with the earth (Rev 21:1).
We are meant to seek the "Kingdom of God" (Matt 6:33). This is not heaven on earth, it is a place inside us where the holy Spirit lives and we are meant to find out as much as we can about it and live by what we find out. We will then find the truth which will set us free.

FACTS ABOUT HEAVEN FROM THE BIBLE:

NAME
The city is called "new Jerusalem" in Revelation 21:2.

APPEARANCE
"The holy city, ... prepared as a bride adorned for her husband." "Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal." "The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal [proportionate]." Revelation 21:2, 11, 16. The city, with all of its precious stones, gold, and shimmering beauty, will be lighted with the glory of God. In its breathtaking majesty and purity it is compared to "a bride adorned for her husband."

COMES DOWN TO EARTH AND THE EARTH IS MADE NEW:
"And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband." Revelation 21:2. "Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth." Matthew 5:5. "The righteous shall be recompensed in the earth." Proverbs 11:31.

WHAT LIFE WILL BE LIKE;
A. The Lord, in person, will live with them (Revelation 21:3).
B. They will never become bored. There will be pleasures forevermore (Psalms 16:11).
C.There will be no more death, pain, tears, sorrow, sickness, hospitals, operations, tragedy, disappointment, trouble, hunger, or thirst (Revelation 21:4; Isaiah 33:24; Revelation 22:3; Isaiah 65:23; Revelation 7:16).
D. They will not get tired (Isaiah 40:31).
E. Every saved person will be physically whole in every way. The deaf will hear, the blind will see, the dumb will sing, and the lame will be able to run (Isaiah 35:5, 6; Philippians 3:21).

There will be no use for crutches and wheelchairs in heaven.
F. Jealousy, fear, hatred, falsehood, envy, impurity, cynicism, filth, worry, and all evil will be forever shut out of God's kingdom (Revelation 21:8, 27; 22:15). People will no longer be burdened with the worries and the cares that drive them to distraction. There will be no more nervous breakdowns. Time will become eternity, and the pressures and deadlines of earth will be gone forever.

We cannot work towards Heaven. It is a free gift to those that will love and obey God with Jesus as their saviour.
But, God tells us if we dont do His good works, our faith counts as nothing.
We are live right here and now as we will in Heaven, obeying the Father, as Jesus did. Kingdom living is to live here as we will in Heaven, as we wait for Jesus to take us there
WE are called to be overcomers for Christ, more than conquerors, and the only way to do that is thrue obedience. Being disobedient causes you to lose the free gift of salvation, but being obedient is not how we got the gift, it was free. Keeping it has conditions.
Bible is very clear about all of these things and more. I dont beieve in giving scripture after scripture For those that want to know and to receive, they will look up these things if truly interested, and when we read them, they come alive and mae way more sense than if someone just told us. ITs all there. I just encourage ppl to study and find out for themselves.
Thanks for the question. God bless you.

Unfortunately I do not have a Bible to hand to look up exact scriptures but there will be heaven and a new earth, so I guess heaven will be on earth.

Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN..... from the Lord's Prayer.

Heaven is supposed to be analogous to a very earthly kingdom ruled by God and the Messiah.

The Good News, we don't work at anything,
We are already saved since Jesus already Paid for Our Sins with His Blood on the Cross in Full, We are Saved By Grace.
When We Believe and Know that Jesus is our Savior, We come To The Lord and Repent, turn away from our sins, then We Truly Ask Christ to forgive us, Then We invite The Holy Spirit, The Comforter, Jesus referred to, When He told us WE would not be left alone, their will be a comforter, Into Our Lives, The Holy Spirit will be your guide, and will convict you of your sins. Then you are saved, WE are blessed when We do good things, but we are Saved through Jesus Christ.

Thats a good question...not sure of the answer, but I was raised Catholic and both seem to ring a bell. Ah well, one more contradiction to add to my list of reasons to abandon organized religion.

" My kingdom is not of this world", "You shall in no wise enter into the kingdom of heaven" "you can not see the kingdom"
"You shall see Me coming in My kingdom, with great power and glory"
