You can find COD in Boston (it's also called Boston SCROD). I am pretty sure they are not different fishes. They just call it scrod if the fish is smaller. Actually you can find cod anywhere you can buy frozen fish.
Recipe: Thaw your fish in the refrigerator the night before you use it. Wash the fish and place it in a small bowl with milk. (I like to add some chipotle sauce to that!) Put some flour, seasoning and bread crumbs in a plastic bag and shake it up. Coat the fish with the breading and fry it in oil. It's delicious. Be sure and discard any fish that has been spoiled during the freezing process.

When I was younger I was a good competitive swimmer. I went to the district championships which were held in a town on the banks of the Murray River. We went fishing that year and caught Cod... one of them was about 35kg... that's big for freshwater fish.
I was bitten by a mosquito that year and unfortunately caught Murray River encephalitis. I recovered but this accounts for some of my deficiencies which are obvious from time to time.

Off the East Coast of North America. They're fish, saltwater fish. It's ALSO a cape on the southeast coast of Massachusetts. The Cape was named after the fish and NOT the other way around. LOL
