I guess I am going to have to go with "none," because I believe there is only one supreme being. If you are worshiping a supreme being, then you're worshiping God. God created a diverse and varied population of people with different views and different needs. It only makes sense that there would be a diverse and varied amount of ways of having a relationship with the supreme being, whatever he may be. That said, although I have no personal problem with atheism, by process of elimination the "worse" of the two would be believing in none. In any case, I am not a "fire and brimstone" kind of Christian, so that does not necessarily mean there is anything wrong with someone choosing not to believe in God. Religion is a personal decision.

It probably depends on their heart attitude. A person could be a muslim, Buddhist, hindu or other believer in all sincerity and it might be the best thing they have encountered. What will be bad for rejecters of Christ will be having been led at some stage through the Holy Spirit's convicting work to see that Christ may well be the answer, but then to have ignored those appeals (the parable of the Sower in Mark 4 implies there are many such people). I'd rather Osama Bin Laden was an athiest, although perhaps then he'd then be an Arab Stalin - he has/had some bitterness and sociopathic qualities that can only be changed by believing in Christ.

If you do find yourself floating in the spirit after death and then recognisably going 'down' [to the place of torment], by all means appeal to Buddha and Mohammed and so on; but I'd strongly recommend you to call on the name of Jesus then; that will be the only hope at that point, I think (although it will probably be too late at that stage).

Believing in the wrong Supreme Being is worse. You have to believe in the right Supreme Being.

One is as bad as the other.

Jesus said:
23 Then he said to them, "You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not.

24 That is why I said that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am who I say I am, you will die in your sins."
( John 8 )

And what did God say about Jesus?

Psalm 45
6 Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever:

the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.
7 Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness:

therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee
with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

Jesus is God, the Son of God, and was prophesied to be the Redeemer in many places in the Old Testament, which was revealed in the New Testament.

I would say believing in none. I think God has mercy on those who seek Him, even if they make an error on what path they walk down, but those that reject Him fully are in a world of hurt.

I think it is worse to believe in something and not know WHY.

I also think it's worse to believe in something (or not believe) because you want to please someone else or to have a lot of friends or whatever....

in either case, the worst would be believing "just because" [herd mentality] without personal effort and research to understand and put to experience whichever your position

What is worse....having the wrong pin number to your bank account or having no pin number for your bank account? Either way, you cannot have access to your treasure.

Neither is worse, dear one. Rejecting Christ comes in many forms, all lead to hell.

God bless!
