What do women do then to maintain a relationship since younger women with shapes of some sort still get those men deep attention and perhaps even more later on down the road of time.

Well while it is true that a relationship must be based on much more than physical attraction and that men and women are likely to notice members of the opposite sex who they find attractive all their lives, there is hope. Emotional maturity and an understanding of relationship is what it takes for someone to begin to look at someone for reasons other than looks or overt sexuality. When a man has had several relationships fail due to a lack of substance and only initially good sex he will begin to think of other qualities. Also, sadly, when a man has gained weight himself or has gotten older and feels he can no longer attract svelte women he will change his standards to be more in keeping with his own status. The only thing a woman can do (or a man for that matter) to be attractive is be honest and be themselves. It helps to be socially active so you meet lots of people and eventually there will be a match that works for them. People are attracted to others for lots of reasons and physical appearance is only the most obvious but as you get to know someone other factors enter into the relationship. I hope this doesn't sound to much like stating the obvious. As far as keeping a relationship that you already have that takes work on both the man's and woman's part. The relationship will be maintained if it is growing by shared experience and understanding but there must be a sense of commitment.

You know when I was young I was hot.. I had the nice butt, the small waist, the pretty face... the works.. I was lucky to be built with the proportions that were found attractive, except that I am short.

Now I hear men my age who would rather have a woman like me, shapely, a little squishy (yeah, 45 years worth of children and such) and they seem to like a more round, but not obese woman... Men's taste in women may change with their age, it seems just like women themselves change.

It depends on the mental age of the man, probably.

Older women are also attractive to younger men too. It takes all kinds and all kinds are taken, as long as they are not the beeches of the Earth, but then some of them get it as well.

Never. Men will always look at beautiful women, and women will always look at handsome men. Even those in relationships.

Relationships are based on love. If your spouse leaves you for someone younger and better looking, they never truly loved you. You may go blind in the end, so it might not matter what the other person looks like. You love him/her for more than their looks, so the relationship will last.

Men stop when they die or go blind. At least for me that will be the case
