My brake pedal will stick for a couple of seconds and then release, but it is pretty scary. I recently had my brakes done and they work fine, it's just the pedal I am having trouble with. Please help!

What pushes the pedal back when you release the pedal is a strong spring inside the master cylander that pushes on the piston that moves the brake fluid to the calipers and wheel cyls. This spring should last the life of the master cyl. and replaceing the master cyl. is the only way I know of to replace your weak spring or a piston that is hanging up. Check all the linkage under the dash to be sure that there is not a problem with your pedal linkage that is causing your problem

The brakes go through the vacuum booster than to the master cylinder. In most cases when you have a problem like this one, it's the booster giving problems. There is no repair for it. If this is the problem, replace it.

it may need the throttle body cleaned, the throttle body gets clogged up, and makes the gas pedal sticky. i know they have a service bulliten on the newer models for that..they may try to sell a fuel injection service. so be careful when you call it should cost no more than an hours worth of time and about 10 bucks worth of cleaner... a fuel injection service is about $160.00
