like for example one time my docter perscribed it to me and when i took it my face really white and i had to go to the hospital.

it is not "sulfer" it is Sulfa, short for sulfanomide. Many people are allergic to this medication, and usually it is a genetically inherited allergy. Be aware, PeptoBismol contains sulfanomides too and can make you very sick.
