Buddy, several things could cause such vibration, to begin with, examine the CV joint if they are ok, the rubber boot being intact does not mean they are ok, the bearing element in it call fall apart with a trace on the rubber, pull the rubber off to see that all are intact, also check to make sure that the bolts securing the drive shaft to the differential are secure, then proceed to stage 2, the suspension system, when you rock at 12°'clock and 6°'clock your only examining ball joint and tie rod ends respectively, check the lower arm to see if its properly secure, a broke bolt can cause the wheel to rock to the body, dont rule this out, turn the wheel to the right to see if the tyre is touching the body of the wheel housing, see if the shockabsorber is properly secure at the top end in the engine compartment . stage 3, the wheel hub, see if the hub is properly secure to its pivot and CV bolt in the hub is properly secure cos a loose lock can cause it to work loose, in that case when you turn your steering the play at the Cv end generate noise and vibration and even can damage the hub and CV end pinion grooves. also check the wheel hub bearing for damage and proper adjustment. Stage 4, examine the brake caliper housing (the unit that house the piston that pushes the brake pad) and splash shield for loose.

Go for the newer car. The Ford Focus is a very reliable car, however it suffers from an image thing and the resale value makes it a great buy. The five year difference in the age will make the Ford the best choice all the way. VW Golf's did not have a wonderful reputation either, but manage to hold on to a bit of their value longer.

Yeah, that sounds like the CV joints, or maybe even one of the drive shafts, or maybe the suspension even. i'd personally know just by looking at it, but maybe you should take it down the garage? Your car is around 5 years old so its possible that its maybe time for the CV joints!

It sounds like the cv joint bearings, be sure to check the tire for separation of cords. Good Luck and God Bless
