LOL!
My mom did this to me all the time. Its no big deal. A lot of candy isn't good for her anyway. Just don't let her catch you doing it!

Heck no! Tell her anything to keep her from eating it. The first thing I do with my son after trick-or-treating is go through his candy to pull out the "bad" ones, and then I wait until he's not around and slowly take a few pieces away at a time. He doesn't even notice, and I save on dentist bills!

only if you eat it is it wrong. I took my 3 and 1 1/2 s candy to work and I bring them each 2 pieces a day they love to look in my lunch box fot there candy. Plus it is not in sight so you dont have a fight on your hands all day.

Do you do it just so you can eat it. If so yes that's mean.
If it isn't appropriate for her to eat, like she would choke or whatever than tell her, this candy isn't meant for you, you could choke, you are allergic *if she is* etc. Tell her the truth. Be straight with her.
Lying for the sake of lying when the truth would work isn't a good way to go.

Some of the candy is spicy, so you are not completely lying. Just educate her on the differances of the candies. The jolly ranchers are made with real fruit juice so they could actually be good for her.

Yes. It is so much better just to put the candy out of sight. In a cupboard above the fridge, etc.... I don't beleive in starting our children out with white lies.... then expecting them not to catch on...and turn the favor around on us.

well i have a almost 3 yr old and i can understand you wanteing her to steer away but i wouldnt say spicy..basically hide it so she doesnt see it and become craved for it..allow her once a day a little pack of mms or kit kat like me but dont let her see the entirety of it all at once soon shell forget..also tell her only for dessert can she have one or her belly will hurt or her teeth will hurt..theres ways around it but first and furthermost i would hide it to distract her from temptation..good luck..

No. You have to put it into words they can understand. I let my 3 year old son know when he has some "hot" candy and so on. He just gives it to me or his brother and sister. You don't want them hurt and crying.

I don't know about "wrong" but you are the parent just tell her she can't have any right now. Also I find "out of sight is out of mind" at that age.

If you don't want her to eat the candy then she shouldn't have gone trick or treating, however no I don't think it is wrong. Your her parents and you can tell her whatever you darn well please.
