Dear one:)
I honestly believe that any genuine child of God would feel not just uncomfortable but very troubled by the Lord for bringing an idol into a Home where He is Lord.
In Christ

My father brought home a lovely statue of the laughing Buddha when I was a child. Made of layers of lacquer, It held a place of honor on the mantel for many years.
Over time it got knocked about as we moved and eventually it was in such bad shape that it had to be tossed.
Far as I can see it did no harm, caused no apostasy from Catholicism, just deteriorated with quiet dignity until it met its end in a trash can. I was sorry to see it go.
So no, no problem.
And how could I possibly worship an obviously man-made object?

1) Demon
2)Yes
3) No
I once worked in a house where the customer had some kind of elephant idol set up with incense burning. Raised the hackles on the back of my neck. Felt the same way at the Catholic wedding we had to attend a few weeks ago.

KJV..... 1) it is an idol, a graven image of a "god", therefore, wrong to have in a home much less focusing onto it as they pray or meditate....as works of art, they are still a symbol of idolatry, whether you treat it as such or not...
Unfortunately, images of Jesus, Mary, and assorted "saints", etc., is wrong as well, for the same reasons. As a Christian, I understand the want to have such a thing around you...they seemingly give comfort and can be used to keep a person in "check" within their Faith...However, mankind does not NEED "symbols" of Faith or belief nor need statues to worship.....in the situation of a Christian, God's Holy Spirit is within them always, so, they do not need anything to make prayer effective in their lives...just belief, love, and Faith. :)

1) I have no issue with statues of Budda, good reason was I was married to a Buddist.
2)Yes and No, personally I have no issue with having one in my home, but what reason would I need one?
3)That should be fine, anything can become gods and idols, it is when we start putting those things before God.

I think it is another "god" in some peoples eyes. Why would I want to have something in my home that does not glorified the Lord?
I went through my home and got rid of anything I thought was not glorifying to the Lord.
I think they open the door up to demonic activity.
I do not like them. My mother has a number of them in her home, " for decoration". I rebuke them in the name of Jesus every time I see them. I hate to say it, but, her home has a very dark and heavy feel to it. We do not go there too often.

If I had a Chinese type motif,I would have a fat happy green Buddah. The only power it has is what you give it ,which in my case would be nothing. When I was a kid ,we would go to L.A.'s Chinatown and I just loved all the various Buddahs that were around.I'm not threatened in the least. He was a real man you know.I like Happy Buddah ,cross-legged with his hands raised and big ol' ear rings.

1. They aren't pretty in, well, it's a bald fat guy.
2. No.
3. Yes, if I found one I liked. It is a religious symbol to some but part of a decor theme for others.

Is it OK to have your friends wife over your house everyday, just because you like how she looks? Nope that's not a good enough reason to have a religious symbol in your house if your beliefs reject it.
