I was worried few years ago when my Mother helped herself to my pain killing medication! I had 100 pills and she ate her way through 30 in one week! Therefore I locked them up and suggested she see her own GP if she wanted drugs? Suffice to state she did not see her own GP, instead went for over the counter, but they were not as strong as mine, so that put paid to whatever kick she was getting.
The question for you is how is the person getting the drugs and does the person suppling the drugs know about the addiction?

If an addict does not want to stop, they won't. There is no way to help a person who doesn't want help. Also, it may be more traumatic for her to stop taking the pills and go through the withdrawls than it is for her to stay on them. Some elderly people can be killed by the withdrawls because they are not as strong as younger people. Speak with her doctor, maybe he can help.

You can contact any body you want to but if the person does not want the help there really is'nt anything you can do. It's sad , but it is the truth. The only thing you can do is do alot of praying be there for the person. I will be praying for you.
