My cat does too. He is an indoor cat. The vet says it is his hair.

Usually animals eat grass so that they can vomit. If he is out eating grass all the time, he may not be feeling well and trying to vomit up what is making him sick. Take him to the vet to see what is going on. Pepto bismol should not be given to cats, it can be poisonous to them. Never give human medications to animals unless directed by a vet to do so.

Don't give your cat Pepto!!!! If he's eating the grass before he throws up that is what's causing him to get sick- he wants to eat more grass afterward because he's still sick to his stomach. If he throws up his food regularly try switching his food- something in it doesn't agree with him. I have a cat with a VERY sensitive stomach & she can only eat organic or holistic cat foods. Hope this helps but please don't give him Pepto-Bismal!

No. Cats should not have Pepto. It can poison them.
If he is doing it right after eating the grass, then that is cause. He is tossing it because it is not good for his stomach (too much). Giving him something that prevents him from tossing it is worse then letting him do it.
Vomiting is normal for cats (unlike humans) and is nature's way of handling issues with their eating harmful things.

Your cat my have food allergies if he is always vomiting after he eats. Cats and Dogs tend to eat grass to help themselves sick up what ever is bothering them.
My cat went through a terrible spell of vomiting. She lost all sorts of weight and stopped going to the litter box and would hide under my dresser all day. After all sorts of testing it came down to I B D inflammatory bowl disease. We changed her food to one with a single source of protein that cats don't normally eat such a venison or duck. The important thing is NO BI-PRODUCTS!!! Since we switched Nomar's food she has been great! No more vomiting at all and her coat looks healthier than before.

It is toxic to cats. Pepto-Bismal has asprin and Asprin is toxic to cats. When your cat is eating grass it helps their stomach.

NEVER give your cat any medication not prescribed by a vet. If he's throwing up a lot, take him in for a checkup. Something could be very wrong that needs attention.

He probably has fur balls. Try getting him to eat a little olive oil or put it on his food. Buy "fur ball formula" dry cat food.
