I started some popcorn plants indoors in June and grew them in containers. They have never been outside, but now the plants look like they are dying. Will they die even if kept indoors?

I think they have a natural cycle and will die at a certain time of year

you could try fertilizer, and make sure they have some sunlight (they might not do very will with all artificial light)

I believe that annuals (which include corn) have a set lifespan no matter what the conditions. They sprout, grow to adulthood, produce offspring and die, all in one year. If you figure out how to make corn a biennial, let alone a long-lived houseplant, you'll have accomplished something new and interesting (and very likely quite renumerative...)
