not to sound like a complete idiot, but I'm a little embarrassed to ask at the spa about a bikini wax. I usually do just my bikini line at home with ready to use strips, but am thinking about getting it done at the spa. I realise it will hurt a bit, I'm not that naive...but, emm, how embarrasing a process is it? do they give you something (anything at all!) to wear? etc?

Don't be embarrased...if its on their service menu that means they see it all the time. I go to 2 places regularly (depending on whether or not they have appointments available). One places gives me a paper thong to wear, the other I'm naked from the waist down. If you're not getting a brazilian they'll usually let you wear a pair of undies and use that as their guide on how much hair to remove.

And after a while, its not that painful.

You can either wear your own underwear or they can give you disposable ones (which they will supply) but most people wear their own undies.

Please don’t be embarrassed- trust me they have done so many bikini waxes that it comes as second nature and they will just get on with the job and do it.

I would recommend going actually as the whole process is over so quickly and as they know what they are doing it is a lot less painful!

They usually let you wear your own underwear and give you a towel to cover the rest of you. It isn't embarassing at all, it's nothing they haven't seen before. It is painful at first, but you get used to it. Don't do it around the time of your period as this is when your skin is most tender so it will be more painful! Hope this helps

Hi, when I'm waxing people in my salon they need to feel 100% confortable and I allow them to leave their knickers on and I tuck tisues around the edges to avoid getting wax on them. The only part the therapist will see is the hair that stick out beyond your knicker line or however far back you want to pull you knickers to allow the hairs to be removed.
Good luck =]

Absolutely don't be embarrassed. They're used to seeing those parts of women every day. I had a Brazillian once. They give me little disposable paper panties that they can kind of peel back as they're working. I just always break out with waxing...anywhere.

typically you can wear your own underwear. or even a bathing suit bottom. just remember that they have seen a lot more than just a bikini line... they do brazilian (where you get nakey) and some even do mens parts too. so dont be embarrased by all means.

You can wear what you want. Just depends on how much you want waxed off. It hurts a little, but its worth it.
